Sandestin Wine Festival Supports Fisher House of the Emerald Coast

Blind veteran to compete in golf tournament

The Sandestin Wine Festival is excited to support Fisher House of the Emerald Coast again this year! Fisher House has been the benefiting charity of the festival for the past two years.

Fisher House of the Emerald Coast is located on Eglin Air Force Base in Northwest Florida and provides a "home away from home" so that our military families can be together during treatment for serious illness or physical/occupational therapy. The House is within steps of the Eglin Air Force Base Hospital and Veteran's Clinic.

Last year, Fisher House served more than 400 guests, including Army Staff Sergeant Aaron Hale and his family. SSG Hale was injured when an IED exploded during his deployment to Afghanistan. It has been a long road to recovery for Hale and his family, but Fisher House has allowed them to be together every step of the way.

Check out the video above to hear more about Hale's story.
